TRIACETYLCELLULOSE FILM HAVING ANTISTATIC ABILITY, POLARIZING PLATE USING THE SAME FILM AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject film having both of scratch resistance and antistatic properties and excellent in transparency, useful for forming a polarizing plate by laminating the film to a polarizing element, by applying a specific transparent resin onto a triacetylcellulose film. CONSTITUTION:A coating composition obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. ionizing radiation curing type resin (preferably a mixture of a polyesteracrylate and a polyurethaneacrylate) with (B) 10-100 pts.wt. cellulose-based resin (e.g. nitrocellulose) as a solvent drying type resin and (C) an antistatic agent which becomes transparent after resin curing (e.g. SnO2 fine particles) is applied onto a triacetylcellulose film. Then the coated film is cured by irradiating the film with ionizing radiation to provide the objective film coated with the transparent coating composition consisting of the components A and B and containing the component C.
