发明名称 METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR MEASURING TOTAL LOSS OF HIGH REFLECTANCE MIRROR
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide a total loss measuring system in which a laser tube is interposed between two plane mirrors, a ring optical path is established including a spherical mirror, intensity of transmitted light is measured by varying the intensity of laser beam and the position of the spherical mirror, and then sum of total losses of three mirrors is determined according to polynomial calculation. CONSTITUTION:Plane mirrors 21, 22 and a spherical mirror 23 are employed as mirrors to be measured and an He-Ne laser tube 24 is interposed between the mirrors 21, 22 thus constituting an equilateral triangular ring laser oscillator. Rotational angles of the mirrors 21, 22 can be read out on the scales of mirror holding mechanisms 28, 29 and incident angles of beam to the mirrors 21, 22 can be determined based on the readings. Incident angle to the mirror 23 can be calculated based on the incident angles of the mirrors 21, 22 thus determined and a scale on a moving rail 26. Transmission loss depends greatly on the incident angle whereas scattering loss scarcely depend thereon. Consequently, distance of the mirror 23 is varied to cause variation only of transmission loss, light transmitted through the mirror 21 is detected through an optical detector 32 every time when the transmission loss is varied, and the intensity of output light is approximated according to a polynomial thus calculating total loss.</p>
