TURBINE FOR TORQUE CONVERTER

PURPOSE: To provide a turbine for a torque converter having a higher durability than that of a forged conventional turbine for a torque converter and a small rotation inertia. CONSTITUTION: This turbine 10 for a torque converter is provided with a plastic bladed element 14. The bladed element 14 is molded around a hub 12 made of a sintered iron and is formed to an approximately semi-toroidal structure. The hub 12 is provided with a rib 24; an opening through which the hub 12 is penetrated; and a groove into which the bladed element 14 is inserted. The bladed element 14 and the hub 12 are not separated even at a high temperature and can bear on a large twist load and an axial load by thus engaging the bladed element 14 with the hub 12.
