PURPOSE:To facilitate the determination of a correlation between an STC curve and the depth of an ultrasonic image by allowing the setting a desired STC curve easily and quickly with a handy circuitry. CONSTITUTION:When a pointer 202 is moved to a column 203 of [STC setting] to click (a), an STC curve 204 set presently is displayed in superimposition on an ultrasonic image 201 (b). In the setting of the STC curve 204, the pointer 202 is moved into the ultrasonic image 201 to click at the position of a desired display depth and a gain level, the STC curve is set anew at the position corresponding to the clicking and in the perimeter thereof (c). After the end of the setting of the STC curve 204, the pointer 202 is moved to the column 203 of [STC definition] to click. Thus, the STC curve 204 set is defined to make the normal display of ultrasonic images ready (a). |
