<p>PURPOSE: To provide a holding device to hold a cylinder shaft at a prescribed position. CONSTITUTION: In a device making contact with a shaft 16 having two ends supported by proper support members and limiting operation of the shaft 16 operated according to tension of a sheet material 17 passing through the shaft, the device is provided at least one of cylindrical members 10 and 11 arranged so as to limit operation of a shaft through contact with the shaft 16. Each of the cylindrical members 10 and 11 makes contact with a shaft at a first variable level at which the non-metallic surface of the member for normal tension conditions in the sheet. When tension of the sheet 17 is in a abnormally high state, contact with the shaft at an approximately fixed second level is effected.</p> |
