PURPOSE:To provide the subject device having excellent mold release and transparency. CONSTITUTION:A photosemiconductor is sealed with a thermosetting resin composition comprising an aliphatic ester compound of the general formula: CH3(CH2)mCOO(CH2)nOOC(CH2)pCH3 (wherein (m), (n) and (p) are each an integer of 1-25) as an essential component and a compound is prepared by saponifying this compound with a metal hydroxide as an optional component.
