The mounting of free wheels in tandem uses exterior (10a,10b) and interior (11a,11b) sliding paths with two rows of wedging cams (3a,3b) regularly spaced circumferentially in between. They are held in the form of a crown by an open cage (12a,12b) and lateral associated bearings (4a,4b). The mounting consists of a single central bearing (20) common to the two free wheels and interspaced between the two wedging cams. This central bearing consists of a central flat washer (20a) with its inner and outer lips folded alternatively (20b,20c) to act as supports contacting the corresponding sliding paths. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple and compact mounting of free wheels in tandem on a single central bearing in a vehicle's automatic gearbox.
