发明名称 PRODUCTION OF MONO-T-BUTYL POTASSIUM CARBONATE
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound useful as an intermediate for di-t-butyl dicarbonate in high yield by reacting potassium carbonate with t-butanol in the presence of an electron acceptor such as naphthalene under carbon dioxide gas pressure. CONSTITUTION:Mono-t-butyl potassium carbonate is produced by reacting potassium carbonate (preferably having small particle size) with t-butanol in the presence of an electron acceptor such as naphthalene and anthracene as a catalyst under carbon dioxide gas pressure. The amount of the electron acceptor used as a catalyst is >=0.001 pts.wt., preferably 0.01-10 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. of potassium carbonate. The reaction temperature is preferably 50-150 deg.C and the pressure of carbon dioxide gas is preferably >=10kg/cm<2>. The reaction product is useful as a synthetic intermediate for di-t-butyl dicarbonate known as an amino acid protection agent or a synthetic intermediate for fine chemicals such as pharmaceuticals and agricultural chemicals. The method is advantageous as an industrial production process.
