PURPOSE: To make it possible to conduct without side effects a method of processing in which protein-containing body fluid removed from a body during operation is filtered and purified and then fed back to the body by filtering with a filter and a skinless positively charged microporous hydrophilic membrane. CONSTITUTION: Protein-containing body fluid such as ascitic fluid removed from a patient is stored in a first container 10 and sent by a blood filter pump 12 through a plasma removing filter 13 formed of hollow fibers where plasma protein, water and electrolyte are removed. The residues at filter 13 comprising mainly mammalian cells and concentrated ascitic fluid are fed back to the container 10. The liquid containing plasma protein, water and electrolytes is introduced to a second container 18 by a second pump 17, and then sent therefrom by a pump 21 through a filter 20 of one sheet formed by a skinless positively charged microporous hydrophilic membrane. The obtained filtered fluid is fed back to the patient by intravenous injection. |
