PURPOSE: To medicinal composition useful of the treatment of psoriasis, phlebitis, atopic dermatitis, etc., which contains, as an active ingredient, ester of anω-3 polyunsaturated aliphatic acid, and has ability to avid the evolution of unpleasant and undesirable odor. CONSTITUTION: The composition contains, as an active ingredient, 10-40 wt.% of a 1-3C alkyl ester of anω-3polyunsaturated aliphatic acid (e.g. ethyl ester of cis-5,8,11,14,17-eicosapentaenoic acid). Further, preferably, the composition contains 0.3-5 wt.%, based on the ester, of antioxidant derived from phenol (e.g. a butylated hydroxyanisole) and 1-20 wt.%, based on the ester, of triehtyl citrate. Addition of the antioxidant into the composition prevents the decomposition of the ester and thus inhibits the evolution of unpleasant and undesirable odor. Activity of the antioxidant is increased by the addition of the triethyl citrate.
