PURPOSE: To uniaxially hot press a shape having a ununiform structural section by laminating an auxiliary material on a green body, hot-pressing a laminated body so as to make the green body into high density, and then peeling the auxiliary material. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary material 3 is uniaxially laminated on a green body 1. The section of the auxiliary material 3 has at least one perpendicular nonuniform section in a uniaxial direction, and the section has regions which require differing amounts of shrinkage in the uniaxial direction to achieve maximum density under pressurizing and heating. Therefore, the net uniaxial shrinkage required by the laminate to achieve maximum density under the heating and pressurizing is made substantially equal across the laminate. The laminate is hot-pressed to make the green body 1 into high density. The auxiliary material is peeled off the highly densified green body. Thus, a uniform density is obtained without deformation of the surface shape. |
