PURPOSE:To obtain an LED head capable of having a high quality printing image by correcting the accidental unevenness, unevenness between blocks and regular unevenness of emitting intensities of an LED head. CONSTITUTION:The accidental unevenness, unevenness between blocks and regular unevenness of emitting intensities are detected by measuring intensities of all of the outputs of light emitting element of the LED head so that the outputs of light emitting elements are adjusted so as to correct the unevenness. The threshold levels of the detection criteria are varied in accordance with the kinds of the unevenness. The most restrictive detection standard is applied to the regular unevenness, nextly restrictive detection standard to the unevenness between blocks and generously restrictive detection standard to the accidental unevenness. |
