PURPOSE:To enhance various durabilities and whiteness by adding a copolymer of glycidyl methacrylate represented by a specific formula and one or more kind of a vinyl monomer to the thermal color forming layer containing an adhesive as a main component of a thermal recording material. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording material is obtained by arranging a thermal color forming layer containing a colorless or light-colored electron-donating dye, an org. acidic substance allowing the dye to develop a color by heating and an adhesive as main components on at least one surface of a support. In this case, a copolymer of glycidyl methacrylate represented by the formula and one or more kind of a vinyl monomer is added to the thermal color forming layer. That is, it is prevented that the printed image of the thermal recording material is erased upon contact with a plasticiser or oil and a preservation stabilizer having high whiteness and not developing a white background with the elapse of time is investigated to constitute the thermal recording material forming a printing image excellent in oil resistance and plasticizer resistance and having high whiteness. |
