PURPOSE:To perform the overlap splicing processing of synthetic resin films without leaving a non-welded part by preventing the generation of a spark between upper and lower rotors and making the width of the overlapped part of the synthetic resin films smaller than that of a narrow rotor. CONSTITUTION:In the overlap splicing processing of synthetic resin films, a high frequency sewing machine having a roller electrode coated with an insulating resin C is used as an upper rotor 1 and/or a lower rotor 2 and the width of the overlapped part of the end parts of the synthetic resin films is set to the width of either one of the upper and lower rotors 2 or less.
