PURPOSE:To enhance the antistatic effect of a thermal transfer image receiving sheet and to form an image of high quality free from missing color by adding a highly conductive powder specified in powder electric resistance to the dye receiving layer arranged on, at least, one surface of a base material sheet. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer image receiving sheet 10 is constituted by arranging a dye receiving layer 13 on, at least, one surface of a base material sheet 11 through an intermediate layer 12. At this time, a highly conductive powder of which the powder electric resistance of a 100kg/cm<2> green compact is 100OMEGA.cm or less, is added to the dye receiving layer 13. The highly conductive powder may be added to the intermediate layer 12 and/or the dye receiving layer 13. Further, the highly conductive powder is a needle like powder wherein the ratio of an average long axis length to an average short axis length is 3 or more. By this constitution, the charging of the thermal transfer image receiving sheet 10 at the time of the formation of an image by a thermal sublimation transfer system is prevented. Therefore, the adhesion of dust to the thermal transfer image receiving sheet 10 does not occur and, as a result, a full-color image of high quality free from missing color can be formed. |
