A beam for supporting formwork which can be curved for radius fixing and acting as stiffener,consists of several similar triangular or trapezoidal units (1) fixed to one another top and bottom. The units are in pairs (1',1'') with struts (19) between inclined sides in bicycle chain type of assembly. Between the unit tops are tensioners (5). End units have three holes in a triangular layout for three tensioners and consist of one inclined side only. The beam is fixed on the outside of a curved formwork panel (7). Connection plates have elongated holes. USE/ADVANTAGES - Rigid construction high stiffening capacity, easily adapted to length and radius required.
