PURPOSE:To clean a slit nozzle main body on machine without needing a large moving space outside the width of a web. CONSTITUTION:A coating soln. is applied on the surface of a web 2 traveled by rotating a backup roll 3 from the slit nozzles 1a and 1b of the coater. A means consisting of a motor, link arm, etc., for traveling and retracting the nozzles 1a and 1b from the coating position to both sides of the web width is provided, and pipes 6a, 6b and 7b for charging and discharging a cleaning soln. to and from the nozzles 1a and 1b at the retraction position are furnished to constitute the nozzle cleaning device. |
