PURPOSE:To provide a photosynthetic culture method for algae, high in the availability of carbon dioxide fed, and to provide the system therefore enabling the carbon dioxide concentration in a culture fluid to be properly maintained at all times based on the above method. CONSTITUTION:The photosynthetic culture method for algae is so designed that part of a culture fluid is separated from a culture tank and a small amount of high-concentration carbon dioxide is added to this fluid and immediately dissolved and then the resultant fluid is returned to the culture tank. The other objective photosynthetic culture system is equipped with (A) the culture tank 1 having pH electrodes 11, (B) a carbon dioxide adding member 4 communicating, through pipings, with the culture tank 1 and having pores, (C) a pump 3 to feed the adding member with a culture fluid from the culture tank, (D) carbon dioxide sources 5, 6 connected, via pipings, to the carbon dioxide adding member 4, (E) a flow control valve 10 for carbon dioxide to be fed from the sources 5, 6 to the member 4, and (F) a pH meter 7 to control the valve 10 based on the measurements from a pH electrodes 11. |
