<p>The machine for preparing a piece of blanket for use in the known manner on offset cylinders for application of the usual metal bars, comprises a treatment station for the application, on the associated edge band of this fabric, of means of constraint suitable for holding a metal bar stably associated with the interested edge of the blanket when it has been applied to the edge, said station comprising means for holding at least a part of the blanket in position adjacent to the interested edge during application of the means of constraint, and means suitable for placing the means of constraint on the blanket. A strip heat-bonded to the bar and to the blanket is placed in the "barred" blanket between the side of the blanket opposite the rubber-coated one and the associated metal bar. <IMAGE></p> |
