PURPOSE: To ease the unpleasant sensation of a patient by using a single-needle centrifuge system to separate the taken blood into various components in a separation chamber, store the obtained plasma and erythrocytes in a storage container, and then they are passed through the separation chamber again and returned to the patient through a recirculation cycle. CONSTITUTION: In a collecting phase, blood is introduced through a needle 18 pricked in a patient, pumped by a blood pump 22 to a separation chamber 14 via a flowing-in pipeline 20. At this time, an anticoagulant solution 44 is supplied by an anticoagulant pump 46 via a pipeline 42 to be mixed in the blood. The plasma separated in the separation chamber 14 is pumped to a storage container 54 by a pump 32 via a pipeline 30, while leukocytes and thrombocytes are pumped to a WBC-PLT bag 26 by a pump 28 via a pipeline 24. Erythrocytes in the separation chamber 14 are passed through a pipeline 36 and sent to the storage container 54 to be mixed with plasma. When a predetermined amount of blood is filled in the storage container 54, the collecting phase is switched to a recirculating phase and the blood in the storage container 54 is supplied to the needle 18 via the separating chamber 14. |
