<p>PURPOSE:To easily and quickly treat under mild conditions an agrichemical, an organic solvent, a surfactant and the like hard to treat by the active sludge process by adding titanium oxide and an iron salt to water to be treated such as service water, sewage and the like and emitting light. CONSTITUTION:When water to be treated is purified, titanium oxide and an iron salt are added therein and light is emitted. In the actual stage, a base plate coated with titanium oxide film and an iron salt are put into the water to be treated, or the water to be treated and iron salt are put into a container with titanium oxide film coated inside, or a base plate coated with titanium oxide film with an iron salt added is put into the water to be treated, and light is emitted from a light source such as sun, a glowing lamp, a halogen lamp and the like. Organic matters in the water to be treated are decomposed by the above arrangement, and oxidized into carbon dioxide gas, water and the like. At that time, the adding quantity of the iron salt to the water to be treated 0.000001 to 5wt.%, and light is emitted and simultaneously heated and agitated to enhance the treatment efficiency.</p> |
