PURPOSE:To obtain composite material for building excellent in heat insulating properties and lightweight properties by a method wherein thermosetting resin and multi-cellular vinylidene chloride-based resin foaming particles are essential ingredients. CONSTITUTION:The manufacturing method of a formed article made of composite material is to mix vinylidene chloride-based resin particles before expansion with thermosetting resin stock and, when necessary, add also filler to the mixture. Next, a formed body can be obtained by applying the heat, which is due to the reaction heat developing at thermal setting, and the external heat to the mixture, which is charged in an object mold so as to realize the aimed composite density. Since the vinylidene chloride-based resin foaming particle is excellent in heat insulating properties and lightweight properties, the heat insulating properties and lightweight properties can be given to the composite material in proportion to the degree of mixing of foaming particles. Accordingly, the resultant composite material is suitable for building material and used not only for general building material such as interior material, exterior material, flooring material, ceiling panel, partitioning, door and the like, but also for special use such as clean room and the like. |
