PURPOSE:To obtain a natural stone-like grained artificial marble having a masking transparency look by mixing an acrylic resin, powdery inorg. filler, transparent frit powder and plasticizer in a specified ratio to obtain a forming material. CONSTITUTION:20-50 pts.wt. matrix resin powder (acrylic resin) and 80-50 pts.wt a powdery inorg. filler (aluminum hydroxide powder) are mixed. Meanwhile, the raw materials such as feldspar, quartzite and borax are melted, solidified and crushed to prepare a transparent frit powder having 1.48-1.6 refractive index. Further, 100 pts.wt. of the mixed powder, 0.1-10 pts.wt. of the frit powder and a small amt. of a liq. plasticizer (e.g. phthalic ester and trimellitic ester) are uniformly mixed to obtain the forming material, which is extruded and heat-treated to obtain the marble. |
