PURPOSE:To provide fatty oil-degradative bacteria capable of rapidly reducing fatty oil level (extractive with n-hexane) in a wastewater treatment system containing edible oil. CONSTITUTION:The microbes, Pseudomonas sp. SK0401 strain (FERM P-13231) and Acinetobacter sp. SK0402 strain (FERM P-13232), each capable of degrading fatty oil in an edible oil-contg. wastewater treatment system.
