PURPOSE:To provide the purifying method and a weir for purification for removing earth and sand in an upstream river and purifying domestic drainage containing organic and inorganic components. CONSTITUTION:In the construction of a weir for purifying an upstream river and the purifying method for the upstream river using the weir, a steel weir 14 consisting of a wind section 12, water passages 13 and another wing section 12 is constructed in the river crossing direction by a steel casing 11 composed of columns, beams and screen materials, and the steel casing is divided into a plurality of sections in the water flow direction of the water passages by the screen materials. Stones are filled on the upstream side, and a filter 25 is disposed in tension on the front to form a gravel layer, while purifying filters 18 filled with active carbon and/or charcoal are inserted removably on the downstream side. |
