PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst which maintains its high ozone decomposing power even in the coexistence of corrosive compounds including nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides by constituting the catalyst with at least a compound selected from TiO2, ZrO2, SnO2, SiO2, V2O5, WO3, and MoO3. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst is used at a reaction temperature of 75 deg.C or higher to treat ozone in a gas in which such corrosive gases as nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides are contained. The catalyst is constituted with at least one compound selected from Ti02, ZrO2, SnO2, SiO2, V2O5, WO3, and MoO3. With the catalyst, ozone in a gas containing corrosive gases including nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides can be removed effectively. |
