<p>PURPOSE: To load a shack of sheets on a tray while a second stack is loaded on a tray by feeding the second stack of sheets from an inoperable position to operative position in response to the signal from a detecting means. CONSTITUTION: At operation, a sheet from a first stack 90 loaded on a lifting tray 102 is supplied to a machine processor by a sheet feeder 81. After movement, an edge guide and stack height sensor 116 monitor the amount of paper on the lifting tray 102. When a first stack 90 comes to a short of load, the height sensor 116 returns the lift 102 to a lowest point of load position. Here, the second stack 92 is fed to the tray 102 from a tray 104 by a drive belt 125 provided at the bottom of the tray 104 and a drive belt 121 at the bottom of the lifting tray 102. The hold tray 104 slides to open for reload while the second stack is supplied to the sheet feeder 81.</p> |
