PURPOSE:To provide a light-transmitting recording medium proper for furnishing a reverse type image having a particularly high grade and an ink-jet recording method using said recording medium. CONSTITUTION:An ink accepting layer contains coloring matter color-changing by the change of pH and the recording surface of the ink accepting layer is colored previously in a light-transmitting recording medium composed of a light-transmitting base material and the ink accepting layer formed onto the base material. This light-transmitting recording medium and an ink-jet recording method using it are provided.
