PURPOSE: To provide a double brake booster equipped with a valve enabling the boost ratio to be varied corresponding to the load of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: The valve is provided with two pistons 64 and 66 rotatably articulated to an arm 72 and a pusher 80 driven by a piston 68, to the first face of the piston 68, a first force expressing the load of the vehicle is applied and to the second face thereof, a second force of elastic nature, in opposition to the first, is applied. This piston 68 occupies an equilibrium position which determines that of a variable bearing point for the lever formed from the arm 72 under the effect of the first and second forces. The arm 72 and the pusher 80 are housed in a single low-pressure cavity 74 defined in the body and the pistons 64, 66 and 68 are turned toward the cavity 74. |
