HUMAN ENDOTHELIN RECEPTOR

PURPOSE:To obtain an endothelin receptor useful for search and research of an agent for circulatory systems by screening a detecting reagent for endothelin or an antagonist of the endothelin receptor. CONSTITUTION:A DNA capable of coding an endothelin receptor is isolated from a cDNA prepare rom a polyA<+>RNA derived from a human placenta. An expression vector containing the DNA and a transformant containing the expression vector are further obtained and cultured to afford the endothelin receptors. One receptor (having 4105 sequence length) thereof is an ETA type receptor having a high affinity for endothelins 1 and 2, especially the endothelin 1 and the other (having 4301 sequence length) is an ETB type receptor having no selectivity in the affinity for the endothelins 1, 2 and 3.
