PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material having high whiteness and reduced in curling after recording. CONSTITUTION:In the production of a thermal recording material consisting of a water-soluble resin-containing backcoat layer, a support, a thermal color forming layer and a water-soluble resincontaining overcoat layer, the backcoat layer is previously applied to one surface of the support and, subsequently, the thermal color forming layer and the overcoat layer are applied to the other surface of the support. |
