PURPOSE:To provide zircon-contg. prepared monolithic refractories for casting excellent in high-temp. strength and slag resistance. CONSTITUTION:A silica sol and light burned magnesia are added to a fireproof blend contg. zircon as principal aggregate by 0.02-2.0wt.% (expressed in terms of SiO2) and 0.005-1.0wt.% per 100wt.% of the blend, respectively. The resulting zircon-contg. prepared monolithic refractories for casting have enhanced high- temp. strength because the amt. of components liable to react with zricon, e.g. Al2O3, CaO, MgO and Na2O is made as small as possible at the bonding parts and the deterioration of corrosion resistance due to the lowering of high- temp. strength is prevented by imparted proper flowability and hardenability. |
