PURPOSE:To prevent the fatigue of eyes of a driver of a vehicle, and to prevent the generation of a condition that a driver of a facing vehicle is dazzled. CONSTITUTION:A device for judging deterioration of a discharge lamp for vehicle consists of an optical sensor 3 arranged inside a head lamp 1 and for detecting a change of the quantity of light of a bulb 2, and an alarm lamp 9 arranged near a driver's seat and for alarming the deterioration of the bulb 2, and a frequency and amplitude judging unit for performing the alarm control, that lights the alarm lamp 9, and for performing the voltage control, that controls the voltage to stop the application of the driving voltage from a ballast 4 to the bulb 2, in the case where a change of the quantity of light of the bulb 2, which is detected by the optical sensor 3, reaches a set value. |
