METHOD FOR FORMING MARK ON MOLD

PURPOSE:To provide a mark-forming method capable of forming a mark on a mold independent of the renewal of the mark without deteriorating the dimensional accuracy of the mold. CONSTITUTION:A masking tape 12 is pasted on a chromium-plated layer 11 plated on the forming surface 10' of a mold 10. An electrolyte-reservoir tank frame 13 is placed on the plated layer, an electrolyte solution 14 is poured into the tank frame 13 and electric current is passed through the electrolyte solution to dissolve the chromium plated layer 11 of the part free from the covering masking tape 12.
