A quick connect branch connector includes a saddle (10) to which one end of a spring clip (26) is hingedly connected, a traction device (34,36) being provided at the opposite end of the spring clip for co-operation with the saddle, whereby the spring clip can be placed under tensile hoop stress in encircling relation with a pipe to hold a nipple (16) and through-bore (20) in communication with the pipe. The connector may include a sprinkler head (38). The spring clip may be designed to be a snap-fit around the pipe, for initial securing of the saddle to the pipe. <IMAGE> |
