The present invention relates to the use of substituted 1,2,4-oxadiazole derivatives of the general formula I <IMAGE> in which R<1> stands for hydrogen, alkyl which is optionally substituted by halogen, alkoxy, hydroxyl, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, cycloalkylamino, and also cycloalkyl, optionally substituted aryl or hetaryl, R<2> stands for hydrogen or alkyl, X stands for O, S, SO, SO2 or N-R<3>, R<3> stands for hydrogen, alkyl, alkylcarbonyl or haloalkylcarbonyl, R<4> stands for identical or different radicals from the series consisting of hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, isothiocyanato, amino, aminoacyl, alkylamino, dialkylamino, trialkylammonium halide, sulfonylamino, hydroxyl, mercapto, alkyl, aralkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, aralkoxy, haloalkoxy, aryl, aryloxy, arylthio, arylsulphinyl, arylsulphonyl, alkylthio, haloalkylthio, alkylsulphinyl, haloalkylsulphinyl, alkylsulphonyl, haloalkylsulphonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylcarbonyl, alkylcarbonyloxy, alkoxyalkyl, alkoxyalkoxy, hydroxyalkoxy or hetarylmethyleneoxy, for the control of endoparasites in medicine and veterinary medicine, and novel compounds of the formula (I) and their preparation. |
