The bore (3) with the inner gearing (4) changes at the end of the inner part (20) pointing towards the shaft end into a full-length hole (8) of reduced dia. At the end of the drive shaft (9) before the outer gearing (10) is a cylindrical section (12) which has axial securing devices such as a flanged collar (14) which adjoins a contact bearing face (7) of the inner part (20) of the joint. When making the inner part of the joint the bore is first pressed in as a central blind hole and then reformed with the inner gearing before the full length hole is punched out. Pressing in the bore and shaping the inner gearing can be carried out in one process. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simplified mfr. of synchronising swivel joints without impairing the secure connection.
