<p>This invention relates to a femoral prosthesis with improved anchorage between the prosthesis and the bone, characterized in that it comprises a shank which narrows towards its distal end and widens towards the proximal end, from which there develops a neck which is inclined with respect to the shaft. The surface of the proximal half of the shaft is porous in order to encourage colonization by osteoblasts and optimum secondary anchorage between the prosthesis and the bone. <IMAGE></p> |
