Constantly-operating temperature controller (4) starts a preheating system for a water-coded motor vehicle engine (8) when the temperature monitored by a sensor (3) falls below a limit, or external heater (1) may be started with a manual switch (5). Heat may be supplied to a vehicle interior heater (2) and a battery heater (22) by ducts linked to the engine coding system and a pump (6). Fuel heaters, oil heaters and transmissions heaters may be similarly supplied, according to priorities set by a control unit with alternative preselectable strategies.
