Procedure for obtaining (-)-(2R,3R)-2-(2,4- dichlorophenyl)-3-(N-methanosulphonyl-N-methylamino)-1- (1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-2-butanol, of formula 1. A procedure is described which is characterized in that the amine 2 (obtained as described in Patent EP 332.387) is reacted with methanosulphonyl chloride in the presence of a base such as triethylamine within a suitable solvent such as chloroform or dichloromethane.
