Process for imparting electrostatic dissipative properties to recycled plastics and articles made therefrom.

A novel process has been found wherein electrostatic dissipative properties are imparted to recycled thermoplastics. The discarded waste plastics are divided and soaked in a salt bath for a predetermined amount of time. The treated recycled thermoplastics have a resistivity in the range of approximately 10<5> to approximately 10<1><2> Ohms per square. The invention also includes the treated thermoplastic having electrostatic dissipative properties which can be reprocessed into various useful objects.
