The filling tube comprises a rigid inner tube enclosed over at least part of its length by an inflatable hose which when the sack is fitted on is inflated to seal against the inner faces of the valve. This inflatable hose acts as the sensor for a correctly positioned sack. The hose is expanded by a predetermined amount of air. The inner pressure of the hose is detected and on reaching the required pressure releases the control signal controlling the filling process. The compressed air supply pipe has a manometer (17) for detecting the pressure and an associated pressure switch (18) which triggers the control signal. USE/ADVANTAGE - Valve sacks filling machine in which faulty filling processes are prevented.
