The full duplex transmission line has associated radio channel pairs. Each terminal has a base station (BS) and an independent unit (HA). Each of these has a transmitter (S) and a receiver (E). An accumulator supplies power to the independent unit (HA). In the rest position, the base station (BS) and independent unit (HA) are coupled together via galvanic interfaces (GS). A charge current for the accumulator and data to the independent unit (HA) are transmitted via the interfaces (GS). The base station receiver (E) constantly monitors the channels and allocates a free channel to the independent unit (HA) via the interfaces (GS). After breaking the galvanic connection a radio link is formed between the base station (BS) and unit (HA). When the galvanic connection is restored, the link is made free for other terminals. ADVANTAGE - Reduces cost of monitoring fixed and localised stations by substituting full duplex operation between stations to prepare terminals efficiently.
