Cooling station - with extra cooling space, used for blown hollow glass articles

Cooling station consists of a cooling bod divided into two cooling chambers each having a support surface for the glass articles. The finisher articles are transferred from the moulding station onto the surface by a gripper device. The gripper device releases the articles as they move along the surface and along the second chamber the articles are completely free. They are finally transferred to conveyor belt. ADVANTAGE - By providing more cooling time, the articles have completely solidified bases prior to transferring to the conveyor belt (2). This ensures that no fault develop in the articles as they transfer between units.
