The UVA radiation meter is used for the measurement of UVB radiation. The measured intensity of UVB radiation can be detected using a scale, by a corresp. colour change or by a signal note. This can involve measuring the values with a photodiode and a selenium cell built into an amulet, sticker, arm band or similar carrier. USE/ADVANTAGE - Measuring intensity of UVB radiation for prevention of skin disease and formation of cancer in humans. Enables humans to achieve protection from over-exposure to UVB radiation and hence avoid major damage to human organisms.
