<p>PURPOSE:To realize a cassete auto-changer loading plural kinds of mixed cassettes by discriminating the kind of the cassette to be housed in a unit based on the cassette discrimination information of a storage provided on respective units. CONSTITUTION:This changer is provided with the storage 55 storing information showing the kind of plural kinds of cassettes with storage formats different from each other and read-out devices 52n, 17B reading out the information showing the kind of the cassette from the device 55. Then, plural kinds of cassettes with formats different from each other are discriminated based on the information read out by the read-out devices 52n, 17B. That is, the storage 55 is provided at every unit consisting of plural bins constituted so as to house the cassettes with the same recording format. Then, the kind of the recording format of the cassette to be housed in the unit is stored in the device 55, and the cassette housed in the bin of the unit is selected by the device 55.</p> |
