CONSTITUTION:A parallel processing system wherein processor elements 2a, 3b, and 2c share variables through remote operations is constituted. At this time, shared variable 10 are arranged in the local memories 5 of the individual processor element 2 respectively and the local memories are referred to. The shared variables 10 are rewritten by a communication and when the generation time interval of a communication for the rewriting is shorter than a prescribed value, DELTAT measuring circuit 8 sets a delay response flag, so that a delay mode is entered.
