VERSATILE VARIABLE LENGTH CODER FOR DIGITAL VIDEO CODER

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the digital video variable length coder in which modular design is realized without giving effect of revision of a syntax on the logic design of the coder and a very high data throughput is supported. CONSTITUTION:The coder is provided with a syntax coder 1 having a coefficient buffer 3 storing coefficient data and a programmable processor 5 outputting a syntax and a data command corresponding to a syntax arrangement of output bit sequence based on a macro block subordinary information and with a syntax free coder 2 having a bit stream coder 9 outputting an output bit sequence based on the syntax and data command.
