Process for densifying conventional black cork-bark agglomerate, which comprises, after the manufacture of the conventional black cork-bark agglomerate sheets, carrying out a pressing operation in a press with heated plates, with a pressure, temperature and pressing time which are suited to the type of sheets used and to the characteristics desired for the final product, and subsequently removing the sheets from the press and leaving them to cool and stabilize in the air for the period necessary for them to attain balanced dimensional stability. The present invention also relates to black cork-bark agglomerates with a density which is much greater than that of those of the prior art, and different physical/mechanical characteristics, which makes it possible to extend the potential field of use thereof, particularly to the covering of floors, panels, for example, of walls or doors, and as vibration insulators and in false ceilings.
