CONTROLLER FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To provide a controller for electric vehicle which can detect abnormality in the accelerator for the electric vehicle positively. CONSTITUTION:An accelerator 1 is provided with a position switch 3 in addition to an opening/voltage converter 4 in order to decide abnormality by comparing an accelerator opening delivered from the converter 4 with an accelerator opening obtained from the position switch 3. This constitution stops a vehicle quickly in safety before an operator senses abnormality when an electric vehicle is running and actuates stop operation thus preventing runaway of the electric vehicle.
